Valencia’s Love Affair with Street Art

City street art or graffiti can be fascinating, and it really makes the drab walls of a city come to life in an interesting way. Valencia’s has some amazing street artists,  and the undisputed area for street art in Valencia is El Carmen. El Carmen is the oldest neighbourhood of Valencia, and here you will find many wall murals garages covered with spray paint art. While it may not be legal, in many cases police turn a blind eye as the graffiti is embraced by the public, and skilled “grafiteros” are able to use store shutters, garages, and empty buildings as canvases.
